How 3D Printing Works: From Design to Your Doorstep
3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, builds objects layer by layer from a digital file. At Dexterly, we use FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printers with PLA and PETG materials.
The Process:
1.Design - We create or customize the 3D model based on the product or your request.
2.Slicing - The model is divided into thin horizontal layers using slicer software.
3.Printing - The printer heats material to ~200°C and deposits it layer by layer.
4.Post-processing - We clean supports, sand rough edges and inspect quality.
5.Packing - Each piece is hand-checked and carefully packed before dispatch.
Why it takes 3–7 days: Unlike mass-produced items sitting in a warehouse, your piece is manufactured fresh. This means less waste, more customization and a product made specifically for you.
Materials we use:
•PLA - Plant-based, smooth finish, great for desk items and keychains
•PETG - Stronger, heat-resistant, good for car accessories and outdoor use
