How 3D Printing Works: From Design to Your Doorstep

3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, builds objects layer by layer from a digital file. At Dexterly, we use FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printers with PLA and PETG materials.

**The Process:** 1. **Design** - We create or customize the 3D model based on the product or your request. 2. **Slicing** - The model is divided into thin horizontal layers using slicer software. 3. **Printing** - The printer heats material to ~200°C and deposits it layer by layer. 4. **Post-processing** - We clean supports, sand rough edges and inspect quality. 5. **Packing** - Each piece is hand-checked and carefully packed before dispatch.

**Why it takes 3–7 days:** Unlike mass-produced items sitting in a warehouse, your piece is manufactured fresh. This means less waste, more customization and a product made specifically for you.

**Materials we use:** - **PLA** - Plant-based, smooth finish, great for desk items and keychains - **PETG** - Stronger, heat-resistant, good for car accessories and outdoor use
